I recently joined astrologer Ana Isabel for a conversation about two of my favourite subjects: astrology and food.
As a naturopath and medical astrologer, I’ve always been fascinated by the traditional links between planets, elements, the body and the foods we eat.
Foods have their own qualities too. Some are heating, some cooling, some drying, some moistening. And depending on your constitution, the same food can affect two people very differently.
In our conversation, we dip into:
- The elements and how they relate to body constitution
- Why some foods suit certain people better than others
- Hot and cold foods, digestion and seasonal eating
- Planetary rulerships of foods, including Mars-ruled foods like chilli, garlic and onion
- How the Ascendant, Moon and wider natal chart add another layer to understanding the body
- How transits, progressions and the progressed Moon can coincide with changing tastes and food preferences
We also get into body types, traditional medical astrology, physiognomy, and why I always want to look at the actual person in front of me, not just what the chart says.
If astrology and food are two subjects close to your heart too, watch the full conversation below.
